Just hit 40K and still on stock tires. Time for a set and a maintenance check up.

To the people who has high mileage 30k+, how often do you redline or rev your engine above 5k rpm?

Glad you mentioned this because Toyota has a tech tip that states...
Fuel filter replacement is recommended at 75K miles.

Its not a TSB or bulletin but a recommendation and its not the complete assembly but the plate and fuel suction. The part number is SU003-04166. Definetly something I think worth doing at that interval.

Have just over 12k on mine for the 14 months I've owned her. Still purrs like a kitten. I would probably have closer to 5k but I lived in phoenix and commuted 3 hours both ways on the weekends to my job. She probably won't see 20k for another 2 years now that I live like 4 miles from my job. Even spirited driving on the weekend wouldn't get me there.

I got my in August 2012 and I've got 12,600. I wish I had the time I did in my 20's where I could zip off every couple days on a long car-trip. When my Jeep was new I had 40k on it in the first year.

~240miles/day... Thats one hell of a work commute...

EDIT: More quick maths:
-Assume the guy pays about 3.50/gal of 91 gas
-Assume guy drives mostly highway averaging 30mpg

~$16,000 of gas since he has owned the car...
Its probably delivery driver. Id pick this car If i had my choice. I used to deliver pizza and would easily log those miles, and could afford this car with that particular job because it was a college town with good tippers and insane business.

If I drove this thing all year... I'd be up there. I put a lot of miles on it b/c I travel on weekends often.

15k in 6 months. Woof.
