Okay. Thank you!
Even then, if you pop out the original flash map, map, and then you test of time and flash back again the original map, and then RaceRom, so RaceRom will no longer be able to flash?

As long as you use Ecutek to write the ROM's all should be fine as Ecutek will insert its licence info into the rom to be written..

the problem occurs if you use some other system to write a rom to your car as it will not insert the ecutek license, so when to try to use ecutek again it will say "no license" as Ecutek cannot see its license information embedded in the ROM in your car as the other system would have overwritten it.

This can happen when you take car for service at toyota and the toyota tech write an updated rom to your car, you loose ecutek license in ROM. Always keep your service receipt to show ecutek that dealer overwrite ROM else Ecutek will want to charge for new license.

Okay. Thank you, I never thought of that at the time, luckily Fensport, of course, understood the situation and sent me the same Toytota which the service would have wanted to upgrade but did not did not have to because I upgraded the Pro Ecu Programming Kit with.
Guarantee they will withdraw around for weeks because RaceRom was inside and I had not yet received the original in place, but in the end, however, was replaced by the warranty repair and spare parts

Add me to the list P0016 and slip light. 39K miles 2013 BRZ
Car is currently at the dealership getting a "needed" engine flush to "remedy" the situation.

Last 6 of VIN? Also, this is not too promising seeing you the problem pop up after having that many miles on the vehicle...

Engine flush did nothing of course, they are now replacing cam gear and ECM. Calling corporate and trying to get out of paying for the flush ($160).

Uh... who recommended the engine flush? If this was part of diagnosing the vehicle, I would think the manufacturer would cover it since the vehicle still is under warranty unless I missed something.

The dealership was claiming that i didn't perform my regular interval oil change and that i have to pay for the engine flush. Regardless of the fact that I have an after-market filter which would indicate that i changed my oil in between the last dealership oil change (f@cking stupid). I was pretty livid. They also claim that the cam gear issue is because i didn't change my oil in recommended intervals. I am pretty furious right now, but at least they are replacing my cam gear and ECU under warranty. I'm never going to that dealer again for any service. I had a great purchasing experience through them, but the service department can suck my d!ck (excuse my French).

***STAY AWAY FROM SUBARU OF PUYALLUP SERVICE DEPARTMENT.***

I've had two master tech friends also question the engine flush. I'm sure you guys already know this, but keep all oil change receipts outside of the dealer changes, or they will use it against you.

Add me. 9000 miles. 2014 BRZ My car has had an idle issue since day one. It would come and go when the A/C would turn on. All I have is a cat-back, K&N and a ST intake pipe. Last week I threw a P000C code. The dealer sad the cam oil pressure solenoid is failing. They ordered a new one and are in the process of replacing it now. Covered under warrant due to TSB.

Hah! I know that exact same feeling. It was one of the reasons I got rid of my last vehicle as soon as I could

Garage
I'm #6 on the list, P0019 code came back during the Texas meet we had this last weekend, and will just not go away, along with a lot of other codes in real time (P0836, P0837, P0736, P0737, P0936, P0937, P1036, P1037). With my Scangauge II I could read the code and clear it, and it would stay cleared until the car was shutdown and restarted. A little while after restarting the traction and check engine light would come back on and the car down a little on power under acceleration. Clear the code and it runs perfectly normal. Took it in to the dealership and had them look it over today. They are saying it's the ECM and have one on order. Happened at ~ 24,550 miles while having fun on the Texas 86 day run on some of the nicest roads in Texas. Keeping car parked in my garage until replacement computer comes in and dealer can replace it. Car currently at ~24,810 miles.

I've lost faith in my car...just can't push it...it's been great for daily driver duty with no issues for nearly ~23k miles, but try and do what it's designed to do and it immediately has issues and throws codes. Hopefully the new ECM is the solution... will need a stress test (track day) after ECM replacement and it seems okay daily driving to see if car is really 'fixed'...and if my trust can be restored in it.
