right on- intermed is almost the dang same as principles for most programs I've seen. Just stresses certain peculiarities of each topic, diving deeper into the 4 pillars for each chapter (entity, jurisdiction, time variable, entity)

When you consistently exceed expectations and have proven yourself invaluable to the project, nobody questions what you're doing with your time
If they did, I'd probably start looking for a healthier/happier work environment. Government employees apparently can't get fired so they can do whatever they want and worst that will happen is they might get promoted out of the position to prevent them f'ing things up anymore. |

Ummm....I work for the government and we have to sign a agreement regarding use of the computer/internet....I know of people at work who have had their computers filtered because they are on the internet for purposes other than work....supervisors can ask the IT dept. to filter websites for those who constantly are surfing the internet.....that agreement that we sign does say a employee can/will be terminated....so I think it's safe to say government employees can be terminated with due process....the unions would step in and such....just my two cents! |

On the surface, yes, government employees can be "held accountable", "disciplined", and "terminated". How that policy and code is enforced and acted upon is a WHOLE 'nother story, which is what @MikeM7 is underscoring. There's a huge reason why the DMV is the most hated waiting line on earth. Consistently through each and every state and community. Anyone want to take a crack at why that is? |
