3 Different LED Fog Lamps
Different, yet the same.
What makes one better than the other two? So far, anyone that has gotten any of the three, "swears by their choice." I almost considered making this a poll, but I'd rather hear information regarding materials/build quality and previous experiences with the brands, rather than just "I got them, I love them." http://www.theretrofitsource.com/led...l#.VNrPefnF98E http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/c.../#!prettyPhoto http://www.ft86speedfactory.com/olm-...ings-1731.html And all the exact same price. Maybe the vendors will chime in |

I've had the OLM Fog Lamps for about 3 months now. Installation was easy and I haven't had any problems with them so far. The build quality seems very good, and they are much brighter than the stock BRZ fogs, which did pretty much nothing. They have brackets that are slightly adjustable so you can find a good angle, (I'm not sure if the other ones have this too...). The bulb color is just slightly whiter than the stock BRZ xenon bulbs. Hope this helps!

I currently have the xb led fog from TRS and all I have to say is performance is amazing. It matches my 5k led strip along with my hid. Fog lamp is fairly wide and has an adjustable knob.

The ESUSE and Morimoto LED's look exactly the same except for the branding on the inner housing. May even be the same company marketing under different brands.
The unbranded OML fogs however, do not have an adjustment screw like the first two. Looks like adjustment is done via the two screws on the side, which can come loose. I'd opt for one of the first two just because of that.

The ones from DiodeDynamics, I believe are the same housing as the Morimoto xBs. I'm running them and absolutely love them.

I had a similar conversation here:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80272 I ended up with the Morimotos, because I could find the most information about the Morimotos. I'm sure the others are similar. The Morimotos are will built, easy install and have a great beam. They are adjustable too. Took me about 20-30 mins to do the complete install including aiming. Just make sure they are genuine. There's a lot of crappy replicas out there.

Our Luxeon LED fog lamps are manufactured by Esuse, and utilize genuine Phillips Luxeon LED's.
There are plenty of knock-offs out there like a member suggested. Nick C.

Is it plug and play? I ask because the pictures do not show H11 connectors, just the pins.

The Morimotos require a PSX to H11 adaptor to fit on a BRZ/FRS. These adaptors are available from Diode Dynamics for about $20

We see a lot of the @Diode Dynamics led fog lights at my work, and they are shockingly bright for a fog light.
This shows the stock fogs on a fiesta ST compared to the Diode Dynamics fog lights with the same exposure etc. Only difference you see in the photos is how much better the Diode ones are. Also, you can't quite tell in this image, but the cutoff is pretty darn good as well. Oh, and they have a 3 year warranty...so thats pretty nice Last edited by continuecrushing; 03-18-2015 at 04:28 PM. |

all 3 of those are manufactured by esuse, so it really comes down to your own brand preference. they all use the same optics/led's.
outside of that, i believe there are only 2 brands that i'm aware of-- either rostra or esuse-- those 2 companies use slightly different optic designs, though i'm not sure what led's the rostra design uses. the rostra's are nearly impossible to get a hold of-- this is the group buy that i heard of them from, i never did buy any though.. http://www.focusst.org/forum/group-b...group-buy.html there is a 3rd option, but it's not highly desirable anymore with all these easy bolt-in options-- trs is still selling bmw x5 led fogs, and you could mod them to fit the car, but it requires a lot of work for slightly less width, and very little difference in output, and have an sae-compliant 5600k output color temp..
