It seems a few people tried this car out, but ended up moving on to the S2000. Any input?

@SubiePig @CSG David @CSG Mike
The S2000 is a more affordable track tested vehicle that has pistons that move vertically with no complicated cam timing or direct injection to worry about.

I know you asked KingTut, but I DD my S2000 for 2 years and put 35,000 miles on it. Loved every minute of it. I had a truck for when I needed to haul things, so certainly someone who can only have 1 vehicle and hauls stuff regularly may have a different opinion.

North Carolina (when I had the S2000). Not a lot of snow, but a lot of rain and semi-cold temps during the winter months.

Should have it back this weekend, actually. Going to be awhile before I get my confidence to go through that section at speed again. I have earned my big off moment badge, once was enough.

If you fly out to socal, we can give you a little tutorial on how to drive the car, however, my driving style almost got me banned from a HPDE organizer. According to them, drifting is not a driving style, however, it only happened because @CSG Mike give me a car with bald tires...what the hell am I supposed to do when the car won't turn with even a small steering angle?

Anyways, you'll need to teach me how to drive in autocross. I attended my first two autocross events ever...Nationals and ProSolo...with a street/track setup S2000. Guess how I did? I will say that it was fun not hitting any cones while basically hooking up every corner with a slide...I hope I don't get banned from Autocross...

@CSG Mike and I met through the S2000 community. We were the only people 6 years ago with Club Racers and putting that classic car through the paces. In 6 years, no engine or transmission issues have occurred. It's a solid car and definitely a product of what a properly engineered car can do.

However, here's one thing people don't understand with the BRZ/FRS...this car does teach you a set of driving skills that can be used on other platforms. I hope people can spend more time driving this car and really enjoying what the platform has to offer. Like seeing @SubiePig, I hope others will follow his path of just driving the car and enjoying what Toyota/Subaru has to offer. It's a great car in its own category.

To be perfectly honest with the BRZ/FRS, the basic upgrades to the car has made it a blast to drive. There is a lot of stuff you can do to the car, but driving skill is what takes this car to the next level. There is a very distinct reason why we modify the car a certain way and it's simply due to the fact that it accents the positive traits of the car.
