Don't all cars play the mileage game though? Not fair to hold it against minivans since they all do it.
No, some manufacturers do, seemingly too many of them do, but some are smart enough to know that screwing with the EPA tests leads to lawsuits.

Toyota specifically seems to be very conservative in mpg ratings.

Finding one on eBay with a clean, non-salvage title is quite a trick. Every time I looked, all but a very few were salvage titles.

One of the eBay Motors filters is to only see clean title vehicles. All of those in the link I posted are clean. Had I included salvage cars, the total would've been 41, so buyer beware.

Update: all of the feedback has been helpful. Besides the relationship counseling parts. Here's what's happening. Wife is trading her 2010 Jetta for an SUV X5 or MDX. We also have an 8 year old boy and a dog which is the reasoning for upsizing. My son loves the car don't get me wrong. He's been car seat/booster free for almost 2 years now.

I'm planning on putting in a request for an autotrader quote. Any reason that I should not do that? I was skeptical about entering the VIN in order to complete the quote information.

Pretty sure I will be selling or trading this car due to infant seat plus the need to transport my 8 year old at the same time.

No problem using the VIN for such a purpose. People seem to get all up tight about VIN numbers as if they are some closely guarded secret when in reality the are right there on the dash, in plain view for the whole world to see anyway.
