Group Buy?

Also does this actually work? Doesn't appear so.

Use coupon code "FT86CLUB" for 5% off your purchase!

I'd like the idea of having a V mount with it
I will grab a few pics, when we are working on the alternative mounting solutions.

No pressure drop numbers, the added volume with the cooler (setrab 613) and lines/fittings is about 24 fluid ounces or 3/4 of a quart.

We might be able to do a group buy.

Yes, this should work. It was case sensitive, but I had that changed to eliminate any confusion.

Just noticed that Racer-X put the thermostatic adapter plate kit up for sale by itself. This is pretty darn great for those wanting to build their own kit. $129.

@racerx1715 looking at purchasing the plate as I'm really not a fan of my current mocal one. Quick question - is there enough clearance to get a socket on the bolt to tighten up the plate? Seems tight on yours (it's impossible on mocal's). Thanks!

Also, any news on upper mounting solution / changing the core? I think a straight threaded fitting into the core like the JR / Perrin options are optimal, eliminating another AN seal there would be great peace of mind to eliminate another area for potential leaks.

Yes, the thermostatic adapter plate was made to work with a 1" socket and still has a bit of wiggle room.

To follow up from our previous post, yes we are working on the optional mounting solution and will also be adding a Bell core as an option along with the more common Setrab cores.

Here is a pic of the oil cooler kit installed with our prototype air box, which we should also be wrapping up very soon.

@racerx1715 does the intake require a re-turn for efficiciency vs stock?

You're going to have little to no choices on intakes with CARB. If you're not willing to pay to play, just get a drop in filter and call it a day.

I think you meant re-tune?

The intake does not require a retune. It is designed to work with the OEM ECU and uses the same diameter as the stock intake. We are also utilizing an OEM paper filter that shockingly provides very good results, within 1 whp of the K&N equivalent.

Unfortunately we will probably not be looking into it. The cost to get CARB approved is quite expensive.
