From what I understand in talking with Bob, they went straight to a Dyno tune on that car. So he doesn't have a CARB baseline.

We got the non-tuner kit, so that means no CARB tune but that didn't stop a discussion we had with Edelbrock, who sent us their CARB calibration to check it when used with 92 Octane...

As you can see, as advertised. They claimed 242WHP, we got just a tad more, which isn't surprising given our cooler climate and slightly better fuel.

I just overlaid the graph from office with the one the guy posted on the second page of this thread. The edelbrock one has rev works UEL header and perrin 2.5" exhaust. The jrsc has HKS EL header and not sure of exhaust.

So here's the results from the second E-Force install we did.
  • 6MT FRS
  • Chevron 92 Pump Gas
  • Gruppe-S UEL Header*
  • Stock Clutch
  • Stock OP / Stock FP
  • Perrin 2.5 Inch CBE

Name: E-Force #2.jpg
Views: 5865
Size: 157.5 KB

Clearly very impressive numbers. Ambient temperatures in the dyno cell was @ 58 degrees, elevation @ 17 ft AGL, so that's as close to Standard Conditions as possible (60 degrees @ SL)

I should add that I was able to break the 300WHP mark but my calibration would have been a tad aggressive for 92 Octane, and clearly - this kit is capable of blurring the lines between the constant Turbo and SC debate!

Here's the YouTube video, with an awesome sound clip!

Cheers!

I've heard some people are seeing tip-in knock even with the CARB tune. Are you seeing any? And was this on the stock pulley and fuel system?

Everything is stock on that car sans the parts listed.

There's almost always going to be tip-in knock, even on a stock NA vehicle.

I can see the range below 2600RPM being an area of contention where the SC unit starts to spool, but that's not an issue for us as we generally have cooler climates and have better fuel (92 vs 91), though we are running single digit ignition numbers in that area to prevent any knock.

Regards,

What an incredible piece of kit! As a turbo only lover, it's almost stupid not to go with this supercharger over anything else.
