Tein Flex Z/A

The only inexpensive options worth considering for looks/street use and maybe a little AutoX/Occasional track day IMO.

Despite the bickering and favoritism of the ~1k coilover market, you can't argue with a trusted brand and ease of replacement should a damper begin to fail.

Expect a few weeks of downtime at minimum with just about every other brand as you send them out to get rebuilt. With the Flex Z just swap out the struts like you would with stock suspension.

Garage
I have psm and plunked down the extra $300 for the pro version with caster adjustment and swift springs.
They ride incredible. 8kg front, 6kg rear. I have them at the softest setting and my whole family (wife, and 8 yr old twins) rides in it with no complaints other than lack of legroom lol

And... they look sexy!

I didnt take pics of the install or finished result, i was in a rush and losing sunlight.

Bilstein B14 is TUV approved; street-legal in Germany at least. It's also wicked hard, more so at low ride height.

We will have the MeisterR ZetaCRD+ back in stock next week.
They are $995 delivered so just in your budget also.
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104205

The only questions is how low do you want to go.
As we design the ZetaCRD+ to work as a good fast road / occasional track use suspension, they are design to ensure compliancy over uneven road surfaces.

What that mean the ride height range are slightly limited due to the rear suspension design.
However, if you aren't intending to go super low, then the increase in suspension travel will ensure better comfort as well as performance.

Picture of a customers car on the ZetaCRD+ coilovers: (from info, can still go a little lower, but not much more)
