That is just bird in hand effect! The 17 in the actual colour you want will be even purdier once it is sitting in front of you.

So a funny story about looking at the 2016 yesterday. The seller works at a big hi-tech company in the valley and said to park behind the parking garage. I drive in behind the garage (that's my scooter behind the car in my pic), and see a DGM BRZ Limited parked nearby, so I park next to it and text the seller that I"m parked next to the car. I"m looking at the car and it's pretty dirty, which surprised me as usually you like to show a clean car to prospective buyers. It also had on some Yokohama tires. I get a response that he just pulled his car out of the garage, and gave his license plate number. I was parked next to the wrong car. So there are at least two DGM BRZ's at this company. After my test drive, I parked next to my scooter, so you can see the other DGM in the background.

As a side note, I'm noticing the the WRB color automatically increases the sales value by $1-2K compared to other cars of the same year and similar milage. It's a popular color. And the one Series.HyperBlue that I saw in SoCal was sold in less than 3 days of being posted, despite being a salvage title. |

I don't see many WRB cars on the bay area CL. Black, white, and silver look to be the most popular.
I just found out that the '17 WRB car with my name on it now has a VIN and is due July 24th. I have no idea when the dealer ordered it. -steve Quote:

There are two WRB cars up now on carguru.com in SoCal that are priced at $20k. Not really worth looking at IMO unless you're super curious, as the 2013 model has 19k miles and the 2015 model has 32k miles.

I've heard from a couple folks were happy with an upgrade from '13-'16 car to a '17. Let me turn this around and ask has anyone regretted this upgrade, or think it wasn't worth it?

I didn't have my mind set on anything except it being auto (my knee is shot from 20 years of manual transmission, especially between CT, NYC, and LA) and WRB. I saw a few FR-S's and BRZ's that were decent mileage but the wrong color or something else. I lurked and one popped up for a 2015 with 8k for $24k. I went and test drove it and it was like a glove. Ended up being a unicorn because they didn't know it had been full modified to what my co-worker says he's been doing for about a year. If you want new, get new. If you're ok playing with the fun someone built up, I don't regret my decision, but the 8k miles really were the biggest selling point that got me.
Oh and as to the 86/BRZ/FR-S population, it's insane in the southeast LA county and Orange county. They're everywhere. It's pretty awesome. |

If I were going to keep it stock for a long time, I would pick up the '17 with PP--which is exactly what I did. I can't give you an extensive comparison on the '16 vs '17 PP, since I only drove the '16 a couple of times, but the '17 certainly felt just as good (obviously, haha). I basically decided that the extra performance parts, plus the refreshed exterior parts and better final drive ratio made it more than worth it to grab a new one. That, and the better financing options if that matters to you.

Nah, you still want the Toyota unless something like having WRB or Subaru badging has you hooked. You just want one of the few that came with heated seats since they tend to sell for less than the BRZ limited. |
