If you reached out to them via email, there is a chance your email was filtered out or someone just skipped over it. I'll see if they still need a donor car.

The 'correct' cam companies have already been contacted and discussion is on going...we'll see what happens.

I merely contacted the companies that I had previous experience with (not too mention they are some of the biggest in the US)...care to enlighten us as to the "correct" companies? Or are we beneath knowing that?

Well having been 'playing' with Subaru engines for 10+ years, we don't get love from the common places. I'll keep you guys posted as they seem hesitant right now despite our wok in the past. So I don't want every Joe-blow calling them an bugging them. They already have me and few other shops pressuring them.

Problem is the forgings aren't available yet, so the first sets might be full billets for R&D reasons.

Crower does offer Subaru cams...I still think they are the best bet.

Crower did kind of poke at Subaru cams when the EJ205 first came out. They never really adapted to the STi and just kind of let the line run. They are known to be rather crappy cams in the community and lack the performance of others.
Likewise, BC cams have a similar rep and the EJ20 and EJ25 cams actually have the same lob despite the differences in stroke and rod ratio. Paraphrasing Brian himself to me on the phone back in 06 'we kept the same lobe because it worked well enough'.

Crower however does make some very good components for other platforms. As stated, the Subaru engines haven't gotten much love from mainstream companies before. The good stuff comes from the shops that are passionate about them.

I had no idea you guys were in VB. If you need any testers for anything, I'm in Richmond.
