sounds like somthing else other then crickets in the back ground, belt/clutch throwout bearing. Go listen by the ground behind the passenger side wheel & see if you can hear it louder and differently.

But it could just be in my mind.... Try to put 2 full tank of chevron in or simply gas with less additives so crickets can die down & it will be easier to tell.

2015 or higher FRS/BRZ/86 means you avoid a lot of the little niggling issues that were present in the earlier ones

Pull the belt and fire it up for a couple secs. Does it squeak?

If yes, then I'll guess TOB. If no, it will most likely be some accessory or pulley. Bearings should make zero noise and have no play orthogonal to the axis of rotation. There can be a little bit of fudge factor in the idler/tensioner pulleys but they should still spin quietly.

I did that last time and it didn't squeak so im pretty much narrowing it down to a pulley ill tell her to pull the belt and see if anything changes. Thanks bro for the help.

You don't need to pull the belt just squirt some water on it. If it stops then comes back it's 100% the belt.

There are things other than the belt that can cause belt chirp like that.

Do this simple test: Take a can of silicon lube (the kind you spray on window and door seals) and as the engine is running, spray just a bit on the grooved side of the belt. If the chirping stops for a moment, you've found the source of the problem.

It may be belt tension related, but IF it's coming from the belt, I'd put my dime on a worn alternator pulley. Take the belt off, use black paint to paint the alternator pulley, let dry, reinstall belt and run engine. After it has chirped for a while, remove belt and check the pulley for polished-off paint on the tops of grooves, this indicates a worn pulley.

I've seen this a few times with rebuilt alternators reusing old pulleys where the edges of the belt bow up because of the uneven wear.

That's good news then. I'd replace the belt and see if any other problems arise, good chance that will correct the issue entirely. While you're replacing the belt give each pulley a wiggle and a tug to make sure it doesn't have any play and it spins true - anything short of perfect you should have a mechanic look at and get an informed opinion.

Doesn't sound like HPFP.

Can be TOB, does noise change with clutch in/out?

You can try removing belt and turning each accessory or idler by hand and listening for a squeak
