I researched the car here and test drove both a manual and auto before buying. I knew(know) what I was buying. Those that are poor buyers have only themselves to blame and then, for some reason, blame the car not themselves for what they are not happy with.

I always worry when someone is following me on curved on/off ramps. Especially if they were riding my ass before hand when the road was straight. Hope they know the limits of their car!

10000 posts is a lot to gather. If they were all lined up nicely, maybe taking the 86 wouldn't be the quickest way to get there, but since it's likely to be a meandering path through history with lots of unexpected twists and turns, the 86 is a good fit... and it probably slows down when we'll see them here because *someone* is just having too much fun.

As for the power, it's quick enough for me, but, the little FA20 in NA form is gutless unless you are wringing its neck. You can always boost it, but to do it right it's gonna cost a bomb. I'm not saying these things of the top of my head, I'm being realistic in what the car gives. For a cheap little sporty car you cannot go wrong with a 86. There's nothing in its price range that looks as good, and a sweet base for modifications. |

I'd love a youtube channel that does head-to-head reviews of various "rival" cars in the same price range and a pro driver does laps in them WITH THE SAME TIRES.
Every car review site seems to use the OEM tires and proclaim a car the winner not realizing that the tires are the most important part of the equation but OEM tires are often not selected for speed, they are often selected for economy. I lost 3 MPG when I switched to MPSS from the OEM tires on my FRS. If the twins came with MPSS or a similar sticky tires stock, all the reviews would be very different. It may still be a slow car 0-60 and 1/4 mile, but on a track, it'd show what the car can really do. |
