I’m back to looking at the relays. With the car on I pull the starter relay out and check power. I get power to pin 5 which I shouldn’t. That pin should only power when the key is in the start position. I then pull the inhibitor relay and pin 5 losses power. Turn the key to start and pin 5 powers up like it should. I jumper pin 5 to pin 3 for the starter relay and turn the key to start and the car started. So I then did a test on the inhibitor relay by supplying 12 volt to it and I can hear it clicking. I then test the wires to the inhibitor relay. With the key on pin 1 is getting power like it should. When I jumper pin 1 to pin 3 I get power to pin 2 of the starter relay. If the inhibitor relay is working correctly that where the power would be. With the jumper in the inhibitor relay still I jumper pin 2 to pin 3 for the starter relay which should start the car but nothing happen. I have put put different relays in and still nothing. But I did get it to run for a few so that good

Well now, that's inconvenient for sure …

Where in Washington do you live?

Are you going to BBQ the turkey ..

Here is what you need to chase down the electrical problem -

Found the problem. After talking to my son who had the car before I got it. I found out that when he put nitros on the car he tapped in to the throttle position wire. That splice came loose. I re splice the wire and the car started right up.

I live on Whidbey Island
We got power on the 24th so we were able to cook.
