SC for me for a couple of reasons - linear performance across the power band (I'm not looking for big gains, but am looking for drivability), generally less stress on the stock components, SC seems more in character with the car IMHO.

When from your posting style, you were about 6 years old if your grammar, approach and avatar are anything to go by.

Almost every post I've seen by you is aggressive or inflammatory. It's supposed to be a community of people with similar interests - not an opportunity for you to wave your internet willy or be the forum bully.

Calm down and play nice.

With high compression, you only need a smaller turbo with less psi to make very good gains
Eg here with only 9psi you get 324whp
http://www.dynosty.com/2012/08/scion...set-at-324whp/
So you don't need much pressure, so it will spool faster as you aren't trying to get it to 25psi like some Evo engines to make the similar power. Eg my mate has a evo6 with 300-350 whp (or there about I can't remember) and is around 23-25psi I can't remember. Yet due to the turbo size he picked, and the waste gate cycle he tuned, boost comes on early and builds quickly. There is very little lag even for 25 psi
also if this is your first forum to be a part of, you are quickly going to realize that there are people on every forum that are blunt and to the point, arrogant, argumentative or trolls (not aimed at ft86god, just staring facts)
In most places you are going to get flamed ESP as the community evolves and you just enter as there might have been 1000 questions same as yours before and people who have been around are over it. Some choose to ignore noob questions (eg me) others choose to flame
It's all a part of hazing process to welcome you to the clubs :p

Yes, but I've been a member of adult society for much longer - rules of common courtesy still apply.

But I bow to your superior length of time on this forum, it obviously endows you with the right to act as you please.

Does any of that matter since the release of the car has only been in the last two months. I think everything prior to May/June this year should just get archived, its all speculation and rumour.

Nothing wrong with creating a new thread, especially since the vehicle and development of new parts has only just started.

I'm interested in suprcharging, love the whine, power spread evenly, which also helps in traffic? Better fuel economy, don't need to open throttle as much.. Doesn't stress the engine too much either?
Maybe next year when I save again

Shit i tot i was early!

anyway....would go either, dependent on power to money ratio

with that said, the turbo route you probably can tweak a little more so probably more bang for buck in the longer term

i intend to wring every ounce of value out of this car with its warranty and once thats lapsed, providing i have it still it, then possibly to do the 2.5 wrx engine swap. i imagine they would be common by that time has lapsed.

would love to do the turbo but am sick to death of working on turbo cars myself and if i know i can do it, i absolutely hate the feeling of paying someone else to do it for me. if that makes sense.

Is there any NA potential for frankenstein conversions in Subaru motors? Similar to Honda NA setups, K24R's, B20's etc.
