Because there are three of the same wheel in the Wheel Directory, I am delisting this one, but linking to the other two for reference:

Same wheels in black, but with 245/40 RS3's and Eibach Pro springs.

This is with KW v3 at minimum recommended ride height:

1/2" higher and this is the perfect setup and wheel size in my mind!
I also go with 17" but OZ Alleggerita, the RPF1 are no chance going legal here in germany

Is this the same size wheels on your Miata? Wheels looked perfectly big on the Miata, but looks a bit small on the BRZ. Or will it look perfect in person like the Miata does?

No, the Miata has 17x9. These are 17x8.

Two reasons for that :-

1) Since this is just a street car, I wasn't looking to go super wide, as that width will tend to throw lots of stones and grit down the side of the car.

2) 17x9 in that wheel is not available until the end of the year in 5x100.

I just took it low for some pictures. When I get the car corner balanced, I'll adjust the ride height while looking at the control arms to find the right height.

How much taller is a 255/40 over the stock? Looks a lot beefier in side profile. I'm thinking of going with 225/40 on an 18" gold RPF1. (unless I go for pure lightweight, in which case I'll keep stock tire size on 17x7.5's.)

Using this calculator I got that it was 10mm (1.6%) taller, meaning that my road speed is 1.7% faster than what the speedometer is indicating.

225/40/18 would put you at 11mm taller, road speed off by 1.8%.

Don't know if I wanna go 18x8s in this wheel or 17x8s. I haven't seen 18s on this car yet other than black (which kinda hides how big the wheel looks on a tire). The 17's look pretty good and are much lighter, but I think 18x8s would be the perfect (IMO) size on this car, I just want the wheels and tires to still be lighter than stock while maintaining the "look" I want. Also the 18s have a hub bore diameter of 56mm, so no hub centric rings. I have no experience in wheels with hub centric rings (every wheel I have owned, have never had them), so I don't know if they are a pain in the ass or not. What's the deal with them? I plan on going 235/40s or 245/40's with either setup. I would plan on getting a drop sometime in the future, so ride height isn't necessarily to big of a problem regardless of the difference in height.

Going with the 255s, my wheel/tire combo is actually a hair heavier than stock. I think the 17s look perfect in person. With a small lowering, it really looks the part. If the sidewalls were any narrower, it'd look hardparked. Hubcentric rings are no big deal. Tirerack included the rings already on the wheels. I've had no problem with them whatsoever.

So - just to review:

You have 17x8, with 255's on them? No rubbing, and you didn't have to change anything else to make that work?

This is awesome. I'm looking at RP03's with ZII's...
