Nice writeup!
My 2 cents to it. Removing the headlight stalk. Mine wouldn't budge until I squeezed the clamp (obviously) and pulled up on the plastic clip that holds it. You can see the cutout for the clip in picture 20. Its under the metal clamp in picture 18. |

very nice write up --- though I'm trying to get a deal with another dealer that is willing to just sell OEM harnesses so with that package, we can toss the other harnesses and use OEM without fiddling with the battery, etc -- just add the harness against the turn signal's harness then to the fog light.
If I do, and get a price i'll let you guys know. -- I won't be selling them but i will refer you to the vendor who does sell it. And I know this harness is an OEM harness from toyota. |

Hey guys, I think I found the part number. The dealer was selling a set for 72.00's on ebay -- not worth it.
If ANYONE from toyota can verify if this is the part number we need, then hell I can compile the links that we need together to get this stuff at 300 bucks MAX (not including shipping calculated), from just hunting. Should be OEM install- after the part number is verified: Here's the Part number I Found online: USA Part Reference: 81515E (this is based off of the diagram, and not searchable) Japan TOYOTA STOCK CODE: SU003-02583 SO with the only thing that's to be confirmed (harness part number) Here's what I've found that I can compile for everyone with part numbers: FRS - ONLY 1 - L & R Bezels - SU00301519 / SU00301518 2 - 2x Outback H11 headlamp Housing - 84501AJ00A 3 - Toyota Socket Fog + Turn signal Harness - S/N (unconfirmed): SU00302583 (I'm waiting for villagescionparts.com to verify, if anyone else knows -- please update) << has been confirmed that this is the wrong part 4 - Toyota Stalk for Foglight - PT/N - 84140-02670 If this is all correct then you can put this kit together for just about 300 and it'll be exactly like the stock setup (minus the crappy plastic housing for glass housing). FYI: panel push plugs works well without having to use nuts and bolts. just push it in and youre done. they stay in snug and will do just fine for this modification.

Buy yellow tint online... It's like $8. Easy to install on small parts. Mine are tinted yellow

There should be some type of adaptor. I'm just not keen on pushing wires across the firewall that's not done by oem. None-the-less, thank you.

I thought about this as well, but afraid that it could burn out my PIAA that I spent $80 on. According to some of the wiring diagrams, power and connection can either be: 1) drawn directly from the battery and switched on by relay in cabin from stalk\button 2) drawn in series with signal then controlled by stalk\button 3) drawn in series with DRL and enabled with\as DRLs 4) drawn in series with Low Beams and enabled with Lows This question maybe a noob question, but just trying to clear up a few questions I've been wondering about. (Based on the Outback H11 fogs) Everyone mentiones that we require a "harness", either made or purchased. - would that be a connector that splits the male PSX24W connection into a H11 female (fog) & a PSX24W female (signal)?I'm just trying to bring it down to the basics because for those who aren't as tech-savvy with this stuff. I want to make sure this is what I need to purchase before I get into the wiring. I purchased the H11 "harness", but it turned out only to be an H11 extension. I know we can cut the ends, but I am still i need of the "harness". Thanks in advance, and sorry if I need a better clarification. |
