Congrats man.

Hopping on this train tomorrow, thanks to this post. Looking at the amount of empties sitting on my hotel room counter right now is making me feel pretty embarrassed. I also have a hard time stopping once I've had one, and that lead to a pretty fucking abysmal weekend when I was home last weekend.

Cole works in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. The beer cans on the hotel room floor could be roaches just the same (not cockroaches). Boredom will do that.

Alcohol is accetable to many to the point that they will brag how much they drank on the weekend with their work buddies. Honestly, and take this from a chronic guy you might as well find a vice that's easier on the body. At least you won't feel I'll effects long-term.

Congrats good for you. My longest without any alcohol was about 6 months. I hardly drink at all anymore. Feels good.

I read this thread back in June. It motivated me to take a break from drinking everyday. It's been 6 weeks now. My bank account and liver are both happy. Not to mention I lost 10lbs. Thank you all for sharing.

Let me know if you ever decide to take a road trip down to the SF bay area, I'll show you some of my favorite driving roads and I'm pretty sure you'll love them!

Good for you, man. I've been wondering about my drinking habits and if they need to be dialed back, if not stopped all together.
