Prevent Auto Theft :/

MODs please move this topic, if I'm in the wrong section.

last night my daily car GSR Integra almost got stolen last night. They went from the rear driver side door window (4 door), to get in. and they trying to hot wire the car. I have alarm on, but they probably did something to switch it off, Immobilization is installed as well.

any other tools that I can use to put on my car? or any tips?

any vendor here, who's selling Steering Wheel Lock for a fair price. I need 2, for the FRS as well.. ugh!

Yeah but if it came with the car it can be easy to look up how to circumvent. A DIY one will be almost impossible to figure out before hand.

I personally like the removable steering wheel idea. If I still had my integra I'd probably go that route as well.

You'll need to put a fuel cut off switch in that car somewhere.

People don't know exactly how EASY it is to steal the Integra - even if you have the MY2000+ with an immobilizer ...it's easy. Clearly these thieves did not know what they were doing.

I used to have an emergency fuel cut switch with a key dongle that looked like a large unshielded usb on my Z32. It could be used in an emergency @ the track or for theft protection.

Another cool thing i used to have was a micro momentary push button located somewhere along the steering column. I unplugged the momentary switch on my clutch pedal, the one closer to the firewall that engages when you press the clutch down to the floor to start the car, and wired it to the hidden button so you had to push the button while turning the key to start the car. Best part is you do not have to cut any wiring, just use small spade connectors that fit into the harness connector, tape it and zip wire out of the way.

at the end of the day, if they really want to steal your car, they will get a tow truck... that's how my parent's CRV was stolen...
