Exhaust - cheaper option

Looks like I've eventually found a local supplier that can build exactly what I've been looking for. Something similar to this:

Plug & play and using the OEM exhaust tips for that nice, standard look.
Best part is the price - under R3k fitted!!

I'm still giving it some though but it's extremely tempting.

I doubt there would be a big improvement but it would sound a lot better.

I think the Remus system is claiming 10HP which I seriously doubt to be accurate unless the OEM exhaust is THAT restrictive.

I think that's a bit of a grey area and I haven't received a clear answer yet.

Technically you're not modifying the engine and since it's a bolt on exhaust I reckon it could be okay. If you removed the CAT I reckon there would definitely be warranty implications.

I'm just a bit scared to risk it...

Exactly. I'm not sure how long I'd be able to rest.

I did a bolt on de-cat on my ST. The plan was to fit the cat before every service but I ended up just leaving the cat in the garage. No issues but it was a risk...

Will do, I reckon I've pretty much got all the info I need now.

It's from TNT in Germiston, stainless steel, R2500 fitted, nothing gets cut from your original zorst and it's the same design as the one in the pic I've posted and the OEM tips will be used.

So it's stock looking plug & play system for R2500 fitted. Bargain.

BTW
The only downside is that they are custom built so you'd need to leave your car with them for a couple of hours to build the system on your car. I prefer the sound of a mild steel box, if they do them I reckon it would be even cheaper.

I reckon with a better intake, a dyno tune, and this for under 5 grand it would be impossible to resist.

On the topic of Germiston, I wonder if Wildcat down the road has devised anything yet. Panelbeaters finally began ordering all my parts today (exhaust included) - told them to let me know when they're all there before I book my car in.
