EcuTek RaceRom Questions.

After Reading through Johns latest Racerom features for the GTR.
http://www.gtrlife.com/forums/topic/...-advancements/

I noticed this.

RACEROM Knock Light via CEL

Is this a GTR only feature? Seems it maybe useful for us as well.

One thing I miss about Kpro is that exact feature plus another...

You could set lean protection, where you can specify a MAP sensor reading threshold (boost) and Lambda (AF:R) to protect against damage caused by a lean condition.

Say I set the MAP threshold to positive boost pressure, and AF:R to 12.5.... if I am boosting and the AF:R goes more lean than 12.5, the engine will cut all power. Useful if a fuel pump goes bad or any other reason where you would lean out and cause potential engine damage.

You can also set a trigger delay in milliseconds, for lets say you mash the throttle with a centrifugal supercharger and there is an instant of "lean" because of the instant boost

Maybe Tony knows to. @FA20Club.com Tony have you seen this feature in any of the ecutek stuff for the twins?

It’s not available at this time. The knock control on the BRZ works in a different way meaning it is not so easy for us to add this feature. We are looking at it as a potential future update.

You can do this using custom maps and importing a wideband sensor. You will need to purchase the RaceROM BRZ upgrade to get Custom Maps. To understand how to do this, see page 53 - 55 of the EcuTek BRZ Tuning Guide. Hope that helps!

You can do that with a custom map. I have mine set up to close the throttle if it goes too lean under boost as well.

Edit: sorry didn't see the post above lol

Yup, just realized that. I keep forgetting that with custom tables you can do a LOT. Kpro had no custom tables so you relied on hardcoded options and setup menus

it'd really be easier to try and list the things you can't do, which there are some. i can think of a few input and outputs i'd like, but aside from that...
