Shifter is very loose and its very hard to find gears.
So this just happend on my way to work. I noticed that the shifter had an abnormal amount of play in gear and it seems to have gotten alot worse. Now its a struggle to even get it into gear. Im taking it to the dealership tomorrow ( hopefully if I can get it in gear.... But has anyone else had this issue? my car only has 8200 miles on it... my guess is what ever guides the selector is damaged or got un bolted somehow. Not what I expect from a car that is less than 2 years old.. ( oh wait its a subaru..)
anyway here is a video. |

Never heard of this yet. Hope you get it figured out.
Really with the Subaru comment though? You're right, all of Toyotas boring cars are more reliable...

looks like rear shifter bushing gave out. Can either go to dealership to get it replace... My opinion though either get a TRD replacement short shifter or kartboy shifter bushing.

So a small update on this.
The issue was resolved pretty easily. Somehow the bolt holding the shift linkage came loose. They couldn't tell me why/how but it looks like it wasn't torqued down to specifications. |
