OFT - Pedal Dance Mode.

I have a basic question about enabling the pedal dance mode with my OFT.


Do I flash this option with the car running (after it is warmed up to operating temperature) or to I flash it with the car on ACC position and then start it?


I'm also assuming once I turn the car off and back off VSC will all be enabled again as normal?

Have a read of the OFT TIPS link below.

Pedal dance is not "flashed" it just the OFT sending the ECU a series of commands to put the car in a diagnostic mode where almost all of the abs nannies are turned off.

You have to do it each time you turn the car on its not permanent, to cancel turn car off then back on.

the oft does not need to be left connected once the commands are sent its done. ie you can use it to set the mode on your mates cars.

I've been reading all of the links in your signature and how found them very helpful. Thanks for putting all the time you have into creating all of them.


Slowly I'm getting this all figured out. Just trying to learn how it works and taking it one step at a time.


I've read the tips page regarding the pedal dance mode, and I understand what your saying about it not being a flash, but rather a set of commands. It just wasn't clear if I was sending the commands with the car running or in acc position? I see now that it should have been obvious based on what it's doing.


I flashed the OTS 91 octane tune and am burning off the last of a 92 non ethanol fuel in the tank. I have E85 about 10 miles away from home and am looking forward to trying it. I've read the steps and don't see any hickups to worry about.


In all of my reading I recall coming across some discussion about which parameters to datalog but am not able to find it at the moment.


For now I just took the defaults and did a quick sample log right after flashing the tune. I have a basic understanding of the data but am by no means a tuner
