Because VW don't want to compete with their own brand, right? especially for a volume seller like GTI. AFAIK, GTI has Audi influenced interior with cost cutting.

Back to topic.
You seem to think that because it's Audi-inspired with cost cutting that means it's not better than it's competitors. I ask you, does the mazdaspeed 3 have better interior? What about the WRX?

I thought so, back to topic.

Subie Impreza WRX has symmetric AWD, more reliable and more powerful sit-lower-than-your-average-engine EJ25, and better overall performance just to name a few.
MazdaSpeed3 has more powerful engine and better overall performance, is cheaper and more reliable.

I don't think comparing WRX to GTI is relevant.

GTI has better interior, and that's about it. I'm not putting 25K investment on a car with a tad better interior with lower overall performance.

Ok, really back to topic this time, and I'm not going to comment on it anymore.

I used to own a 07 MCS. No warranty claims in 14mo ownership.

think it's hard to compare tho. I don't feel bad for any country that has to pay a lot if they are also the ones who got the super awesome special editions

What special models did Portugal get that other EU countries did not get?
