Just curious here. But those of you who have paid in cash, did the dealers give any deals to go along with that option?

Original price tag vs price out the door cash?

Dealership hate when you pay in cash. Mine gave me a weird look at first and kept pushing me to finance. Afterall that's how they make money off of you.

In that case I'm assuming they try not to budge from they're asking price. Bummer, I'm really looking forward to walking in one, in the following months, doing just that -_-

LOL man. I'm really looking forward to seeing one of the dealer's reaction when the time comes

Anyone want to share their experiences with they're cash purchase? I could possibly use some advice

I'm 22, paid off my G35 a few months ago, possibly giving it to my uncle, and replacing it with an FRS.

Well I mean most people keep that money in the bank and simply swipe their debt card.
Same thing, only less exciting

Honestly if you can afford to pay for a 25-30k car in cash, your credit should be really good. Look into a loan, make sure there are no early payoff penalties, pay it off in a year with auto payments out of a savings account.

I might take out 5k for 12 months to help build credit. I got a credit card a little over a year ago to help improve it. I think my score was 691 then.
I can't remember if it was 10% or 15% of your fico is made up of different types of loans. So an auto loan would be good to add on.

I got my FRS when I was 17. I only pay $100 a month for insurance and have to pay for my own gas. I love you mommy and daddy.

LOL!

Isn't that the truth, though!

Education in America, today, is a disaster, accelerating our decline into third-world status.

I like your parents. Tell them some old white guy on the 'Net salutes them. We need more like them.

Youngest BRZ/FRS Owners?

I turned 17 this past December, got my FRS 9 months ago when I was 16. I work 48 hrs/week at a local car dealership and am paying for the car, insurance, and mods. $479/month payment, $130/month insurance, and somewhere around $12k in mods so far. My parents do help me out with gas, around $160/month, and also let me finance it on their credit. They would have bought me a car themselves, just not this car. They wanted me in something safer, not necessarily a truck but along those lines. I have a 4.33 cumulative GPA and I'm still a junior in high school. If my grades slip, I get a ticket, or miss a payment, car gets sold. I think that's fair.
