yeah I really don't like the price :/ everything about the car is great except price

The best possible thing that could happen now is a price war. Subaru could screw over Scion and price the Premium at $25k or 25.5k INCLUDING destination. Or, since it seems a majority of BRZ orders are for Limited cars, slash the price difference between the Premium and Limited. Whatever it takes for them to ensure that the Limited stays below 30k no matter what. If it's a tough sell now with all of us dedicated followers, I can almost guarantee this car will be sitting on lots within 1 year if the price sucks.

I really hope Subaru learned their lesson on overpricing cars with the spec.B. They sat on lots everywhere, they couldn't get rid of them.

That was more the recession then anything else.

Gah!

Screw this. I'll just start another group buy and haggle the F out of the subaru dealer to get me an invoice price. OR. Wait for the Subaru VIP program. Hah.

25-26k for a premium is seriously milking the car's hype.

For scion to do 24.2k. I personally think that was a low blow.

The spec.B was introduced as a 2006 model, meaning it went on sale in 2005. Well before the recession really hit. My car was sitting on the lot for 9 months before the first owner finally bought it.

Not really. It wasn't worth the money. I was offered a brand new one for 22k after it sat on the lot for about 16 months.

Yeah I paid 20k for mine in 2007 with only 15k miles on it. Lol best deal I'll probably ever get on a car.

Irrc, 07-08 were selling ok-ish (for low 30s before taxes) before recession. No idea about 06.

I would have loved me some GT Spec B. If I was only in the market for one back then.

Sounds reasonable. I'd prefer the limited to be below 28k MSRP, but I'd still test drive it if it comes up to around mid 28k. 29k MSRP is more than I'm willing to pay for the car unfortunately.

You aren't the appreciative type much huh?

Or you live your life surrounding yourself entirely with satire.

A price war won't happen. Subaru will be all to happy to sell limited numbers of the BRZ since they are the ones manufacturing the FR-S they're making money no matter which one you buy.

Given that the VIP program usually excludes the STI and often the WRX from what I hear I don't think your ever going to see it for the BRZ.

its interesting how they can get away with pricing the brz the same as a WRX..youd think a larger AWD heavy sedan turbo would cost much more to make than a N/A 2700 lb car
