So funny reading people saying "I hate the price" "The only thing wrong with the car is the price" NO ONE has the price at hand. The only thing everyone has is a lot of speculation and jumps into premature conclusions. Wait for the price to be released, then complain or rejoice.

It's also pretty funny to read people saying about a "price war", or "Subaru screw Toyota come on!" When this two compalnies decided to jointly make a car, everyone knoew what they were getting into. Both of them KNOW what the other was going to do about pricing. When the decision was made to pour millions of dollars of research and investment into this project, they analyze it to death.

Some people make it look like they are doing things on the fly, figuring things out by the day. That is not the way building cars work. The price between models (BRZ FR-S) has ALREADY been decided, and Toyota and Subaru talked about it while agreeing on the project.

I don't know who about US, but in EU the BRZ will be cheaper than the GT86. So if in EU the GT86 starts under 30.000 € (29.990 €), I'd expect the BRZ to start under 28.000 €, but HID standard on all.

I think the difference between Premium and Limited will be $2,500

Leather seats/Alcantara cost at least $1,000
Heated seats is at least $500
DZCC is at least $250-500
Push start is at least $500
Rear Spoiler is priced at $545
Fog lights is at least $200

All of this adds up over $3000-3200 but because it is packaged it might cost $500-700 less

28.5 for limited with 6MT with destination will be my limit. It will also come to what they give me for the trade in. If they give me close to guaranteed trade in value and it covers almost all of my taxes for BRZ I might bite on it. I am not obcessing about it - I will wait until Subaru says an official word. IF it is not in my range in the end between me and the dealership - I will take my money back and have no hard feelings. VIP pricing will come to this car sooner if pricing is not right.

P.S. On the side note - I am surprise second time in couple months with greediness of Scion. First they prices iQ at 15,995 only $80 below xD... Really? Now FRS at 24,930?

Pressure is on now, Subaru need to reveal the pricing since Scion already did.

Really doubt we gonna see it that soon! Now they will delay it from Scion launch even longer. Subaru will be targeting different population than Scion. Now, 47 year old male wit 89K salary as they said in their marketing plan starts making sense...

That's what they said in their marketing plan?! Man I'm too young and don't make enough money to buy one. I guess I need to settle with a used Boxster/Cayman.

25-26k for a premium is seriously milking the car's hype.

For scion to do 24.2k. I personally think that was a low blow.
Keep wishing for a 25-26k price on a premium. People are forgetting that the scion is going to sell for 25k which means a premium brz is going to sell for around 26.5k. Expect sticker to be 800-1500 more than that.

Your package price seems about right. Expect sticker on a limited to fall between 29k & 30k. I see a lot of cancelled pre orders since those with msrp deals are going to be paying what they thought were limited prices for the premium model.

Limited model is closing in on 370z territory which is a better all around sports car. Too bad it doesn't have back seats...

No disrespect here, but if a BRZ which may cost near $30k is going to hurt, you are in no place to consider anything from Stuttgart. Even if the cost of vehicle purchase is within striking distance for you, the operations and maintenance costs will eat you alive.

It'll be my weekend car so it won't be driven that much, cost of operation shouldn't be too bad consider how little it'll be driven.

Erm, a BASE 370z is 32k, and most are going to be closer to 35+. That's a pretty big difference.
