15" ultra deep dish wheels.

Hey guys,

I've always loved Shakotan style cars and saw a red FRS with the Watanabe RS wheels (86HIRO - stevenakamura). I managed to find an ultra rare set of SSR mesh wheels, the problem is the wheels will be imported and I can't test fit them so I'm gonna go with instincts here and maybe you can help me with knowing whether the wheel is gonna hit the caliper and so on.

My car has a widebody conversion (rocket bunny) so I think it's gonna work with not much of crazy negative camber needed but I really wanna make sure the barrels or faces don't hit the rotors or calipers and I can't do that so yeah.. They're 5x114.3 so I'm gonna run adapters which I already run on my current set of wheels (12mm), they might clear for the wheel..?

15x10.5" -40 and 15x9.5" (unknown offset but in the negatives too).

EDIT: They fit and clear perfectly.

They won't fit. Because the step lip design of 3 piece rims, the inner barrel wont fit.

I've done quite a bit of work on this, finding the right specs for a 16" meister cr01. I managed to find a solution, but it involves the smaller spec brakes.

The wats aren't 3p so dont suffer the same inner barrel clearance issues, even in a 15".

Got the wheels today and they fit! 15mm spacer, thank god I have the smaller spec brakes and they clear quite well for such low offsets and widths!

Damn that looks so badass! I had no idea SSR made 5x114.3 15" wheels back then! Post more pics when you get the new tires!

Got a side pic attached for you, yes I was surprised they made 5x114.3 too.

Now all you need are some 225/50s on the rear and some 195/50s in the front. Get that shakotan beefy tire stretch!

Dang...that is so nice.

A+++

As far as tire diameter... just get something close to oem diameter - 24.5-25"

15" Rota Slipstreams barely fit:

Very interesting nonetheless. Can we say, "ultra lightweight." I bet it would look swell too.

Yeah going to be looking for a tire diameter in that measurement, it's just that over here in the middle east it's so damn hard to find a lot of stuff -.-, I had to import the wheels and maybe even import tires lol.

Those calipers are scary close to the wheel!!
