Ford “Super 8.8” diff install. Went with the steel case version from a 2020 GT500. Has 3.73 gears and a T2R Torsen. Swapped out the mustang specific CV pinion yoke flange for a standard 1350 u-joint version. I know there are existing 8.8 swap kits but this point the older cases are getting harder to come by and typically need a complete rebuild which becomes pretty pricey. The 2015+ Mustang Super 8.8 diffs can be had for around $700 with low miles, desirable gear ratios, and a torsen already installed. Basically ready to go. Also somewhat chose this diff because I haven’t seen this swap done yet and I kinda just wanted a good project.
 Stock diff (pink) overlayed on the Super 8.8 (grey). Everything was 3D scanned and brought into CAD to design then laser cut all of the new subframe pieces.  Clearancing for the larger axles.  Added structure to the top to compensate for material removed from the bottom side for axles. Diff will mount to the two stock bolt locations on the front with an adapter bracket and three new bushing locations added to the rear.     New driveshaft and custom axles are on order.
