Nice clean build! What's the part number for the OEM door cap covers?

His pictures actually says it lol. But just in case you missed it. It's 66244VA000.

Arrow UPDATE

Welp, been awhile since I posted on here.
Life has been hitting hard since the last time I posted but it has motivated me to live life more.
I do apologize for my absence and will try to post here when I can.
After several requests from fellow forum members, here are some updates to the FRS.
This will be a juicy one!

Parts recently installed:
- OEM 2017+ All Weather Floor Mats (86 Logo)
- OEM JDM Hood Insulator
- TRD Vehicle Inspection Case (14R)
- TRD Vehicle Inspection Case (14R60)
- TRD Engine Mounts (Left/Right/Rear)
- TRD Shoulder Pads (Red stitch)
- TRD Battery Tie Down
- TRD Sway Bars (USDM)
- STi Shift Knob
- Cusco Tow Hook (Front)
- Cusco Oil Level Gauge Stopper
- Cusco Rear Pillar Brace
- Cusco OEM Pre-cut trim
- Like Wise RLX (Red)
- Feal Suspension 441+ w/ Swift Springs (7k F/R)
- Stoptech Stainless Steel Brake Lines
- Fujitsubo Catless Dual Resonated Front Pipe
- SSR GTX01 17x9 +38 5x100 (Dark Silver)
- Continental ExtremeContact DWS06+ 245/40/17

OEM 2017+ All Weather Floor Mats (86 Logo)

A few months after hitting the 10 year mark last year of driving this amazing platform, I decided to replace the floor mats since it started to show its age.
Decided to go with the updated version since it has the 86 logo and it looks cleaner(to me).
The FRS ones still have some life in them so I gave them to a friend who was in the market for a set for his BRZ.

OEM JDM Hood Insulator

Going along with replacing things for the 10 year anniversary of having the FRS, I wanted to replace the hood insulator.
Funny enough, the very first oil change I did myself, I forgot to put the oil cap on before turning on the car.
I tried cleaning it the best I could but it still had traces of oil. I also liked the look of the JDM insulator more than the USDM.
Not sure why they didn’t offer it here but just a small detail that some of you may enjoy as well.

TRD Vehicle Inspection Case (14R)

For those that have been following this thread for a while know that I’m a big fan of rare JDM parts, especially for anything OEM+.
I stumbled upon the 14R inspection case and knew I had to have it.
Got it for a decent price and it has replaced the factory Scion owners manual case.

TRD Vehicle Inspection Case (14R60)

About 6 months after having the 14R inspection case, I stumbled upon an even rarer version of the TRD inspection case, the 14R60 version!
I couldn’t find any information on it, even the 14R60 parts catalog doesn’t say anything about it.
Crazy I was able to get it for cheaper than the 14R version.
If anyone has any info on these, please let me know!

TRD Engine Mounts (Left/Right/Rear)

Adding on to the 10 year replacements, I decided to upgrade the engine mounts.
Been reading about others’ experience with the mounts and they reported a significant difference compared to the stock mounts.
Not much on their appearance but they feel way better than the old mounts.
Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of the part numbers so here you go if you’re interested:

Right 12311-ZN600
Left 12315-ZN600
Rear 12371-ZN600

TRD Shoulder Pads (Red stitch)

These have been on my list of things to collect for quite a while.
Told myself I would eventually get these but since they were so easily obtainable at the time, I skipped over them.
Now that they are discontinued and a little difficult to find, I had to get these as soon as the right deal came around.
Eventually a set was available, in brand new condition. Unfortunately the packaging was damaged in shipment but doesn’t bother me too much.

TRD Battery Tie Down

Once again, another part that was easily obtainable at the time and didn’t think much of it, the TRD battery tiedown.
The usual websites that I visit way too often started to show that these were out of stock and also noted these were discontinued.
Came across one that was slightly used but complete in box.
Unfortunately the batteries here in the US seem too big to fit the tie down but I already have a smaller one lined up the next time I need to replace it.

TRD Sway Bars (USDM)

When I ordered the floor mats, there was a sale going on.
Since I was already ordering something, I might as well add on another thing that has been on my wishlist for a while lol.
Got the TRD swaybars for a great deal. They’re thiccer and I do notice a difference.

STi Shift Knob
Cusco Tow Hook (Front)

When I noticed that a lot of the parts in my wishlist were starting to be discontinued and were becoming out of stock, I decided to get the STi shift knob while I still can.
Just wanted to add it to the collection and occasionally switch to it.
Also picked up the Cusco tow hook since a tow hook is mandatory for the track events I go to.
The OEM would’ve suffice but wanted one to look cooler lol.

Cusco Oil Level Gauge Stopper
Cusco Rear Pillar Brace
Cusco OEM Pre-cut trim

I saw a couple other builds with the Cusco rear pillar brace and thought it looked really cool.
I think it adds some pizzazz and some chassis rigidity.
The really cool thing (imo of course) is that Cusco offered an OEM replacement that is precut so that I don’t ruin my original trim.
If I cut the trim piece myself, it’ll look like hot garbage. I also threw in the dipstick stopper to make the engine bay look a bit cooler.

Like Wise RLX (Red)

The reverse lockout was starting to fade and show its age quite a bit.
I originally wanted to replace it with a chrome reverse lockout but stumbled upon this one.
I really like the design and how it goes well with the TRD shift boot.

Feal Suspension 441+ w/ Swift Springs (7k F/R)

My rear coilovers were starting to show signs they may have been blown after 8+ years of daily driving and occasional spirited driving in the canyons.
Loved the BC’s and still recommend them.
I wanted to try another brand and was highly recommended by friends to go with Feal Suspension.
These were more expensive compared to the BC’s and provided high quality craftsmanship.
I also decided to go with the Swift Springs since these were also recommended, especially for daily driving.
Shortly installing these, I took it to the track and was blown away on how they performed.
The only issue that I came across was adjusting for ride height and camber.
At the highest height setting possible and with the most camber possible, the FRS is sitting lower
than before and camber has been maxed out to about -2.5 front and rear, compared to my previous set up of -3 front and -2 rear.
The car looks more aggressive but unfortunately rubs in the rear when I have the teehee’s on.
Luckily the SSR’s have zero rubbing issues.
I forgot to take more pictures of the new set since I was too excited to get them installed.

Stoptech Stainless Steel Brake Lines

A friend of mine gave me a set of SS brake lines, along with some other parts, since he no longer had his FRS and moved on to get a GRC.
I’ve always thought about getting a set to improve braking performance so when I got these, I was beyond excited.
I believe Stoptech is no longer in business and these are discontinued.
Sad to see that happen but really glad to have these.
Thanks Drew!

Fujitsubo Catless Dual Resonated Front Pipe

The setup I’ve been running for a while sounded amazing but I wanted to see if I can keep the same sound
but perhaps bring down the volume just a bit; at least inside the car. (JDL Catless UEL, 1320 Catless Dual Resonated FP, TRD Quad)
I switched back to the stock FP and it lowered the volume quite a bit but I missed having the loudness.
The same friend that gave me the SS brakelines had this FP for sale. It was exactly what I was looking for.
Kept the same volume outside but lowered the resonance on the inside.
It’s also Fujitsubo so you already know the quality is excellent.

SSR GTX01 17x9 +38 5x100 (Dark Silver)
Continental ExtremeContact DWS06+ 245/40/17

Picked up a set of track wheels since I didn’t want to ruin my teehee’s.
I’ve been on the lookout to get another set of TC105N’s because I miss them quite a bit.
I sold my old set to my cousin who has a 2018 tS, so at least they are still within the family.
Came across these in my local FB marketplace and got them for a hell of a deal.
Ran the tires that came with the wheels on the track since they still have some life on them and they performed exceptionally.
Will need to replace them soon and are open to tire suggestions.
Since these will be dedicated track wheels, more aggressive tires are welcomed.
This set also looks pretty frickin sweet if you ask me.

Here are some pictures of when I took it to Thunderhill West and Laguna Seca:

I finally addressed one of the most common and most annoying issues that the FA20 has: infamous timing cover oil leaks and cam carrier oil leaks.

On 8/6/25, the FRS has reached 100,000 miles!
I plan on keeping this car for the long haul and wanted to do what I can to extend the life of the car.
Fixing the leaks wasn’t dire but I will have to have it fixed eventually.
I finally bit the bullet and brought it to a local independent Subaru specialty shop August 2026.
It was there for about 2 weeks but after a month of having it back, I brought it to Laguna Seca.
The FRS performed phenomenally and had zero issues.
Having the motor completely refreshed with zero leaks gave me the confidence to push it to its limits.
