Is it a new platform (engine)? Absolutely. But folks are talking like nobody has ever made a god damn turbo kit in their lives, and they have spent the better part of the last 10 years perfecting the art of the FA20 turbo.

I tell you what, you give me a layout of each individual piece that is included in the kit, right down to the type of metals or other materials used. I will take the time out of my day to show you that the kit, while made of "high-grade" materials, is worth no more than $3500. (this is a rough estimate based on the above list) And that is at retail pricing.

I am not trying to get under anyone's skin, but I am just tired of folks blabbering on about how you will just have to pay for it because it's a new setup, or it's made with quality parts, which I don't doubt that it is. If you want transparency, just ask for it, and if the creator refuses or blows a gasket, there is a good chance there is a reason for it.

I great appreciate all the work that companies around the world are putting into this new platform, and I am just as excited as the next guy, but any business that can't say that they are trying to cash in on it is looney, lying, or both.
You are in Canada. Shit is different over there.
You opinion is basically useless in the Australian section.

You claimed you could replicate it for $3500, if you havent manufactured a kit before or don't plan on doing so, how can you know its not worth 10k for a drive in drive out solution? I don't understand what you mean by "transparency", you can see what the kit involves, you can see what hes done, you can price the components yourself. What exactly are you expecting? If you can do it for under 10k yourself, then go do it, if you can install it yourself and have the tools and skills to do so, then do it. Sitting here and saying stupid shit like "whoever says otherwise can take it up the ass" just makes you look foolish.

think we need to chill out abit.. there's a difference between querying and constructive discussion and just being outright rude.

Fabrication and shipping costs in USA/Canada are probably considerably cheaper i would imagine as unfortunately we suffer from "living in Australia" tax over here on everything (not just as consumers but our retailers/distributors do too...)

its hard to compare apples with oranges.

no chance buddy. you need to own the car and used it overseas for over 12 months before you can import it.

also are you an Aussie citizen/PR? if not, no chance as well.

Some of it is justified because we have expensive wages to pay... and we do live in the middle of bumfk nowhere in relation to the world so shipping is often exxy...

But stuff like digital downloads we get ripped blind on because theres no additional costs

We also have a higher average wage, better healthcare systems and higher cost to manufacture here in Aus.

Point is irrelevant.

Comon fellas, the CH guys have put R&D and time into this kit and can price it to however they want. They are a business at the end of the day and not out to please us with cheap parts. You want a turbo kit, buy it. You want to wait until the market offers 45 different kits at a cheaper price, then wait a few years. Nobody is forcing you.
