Ceramic Pro 9h

Hi Guys,

I'm not sure if anyone has used this product yet, its still moderately new on the market, but seems to have the same kind of lifetime warranty as opticoat. It's a ceramic clearcoat that bonds to the paint. 2-3 microns thick.

The advantage over opticoat is that it's supposedly harder (exceeds 9h), has better hydrophobic qualities (109%), is very high gloss and, more importantly, can be layered - a lot.

So anyway, about to spend quite a bit on getting maximum layers done, which will give me around 30 - 45 microns of what will basically be a super hard and glossy additional clearcoat!

Thats the plan anyway. I really don't want my baby scratched.

I've got the pearl white colour, so I'm not expecting to see a real lot of gloss, but will be interesting to see what happens. My detailer hasn't done it up to the maximum layers before, so I think he is quite keen to see how much gloss he can get on the white.

I'll post pics sunday when I get her back.

Keen to see the result mate. Thinking about this product too, didn't know you could layer it on that thick!

I have not used it. Looks very interesting.

Only think I don't like is that you cant expose it to any water or dust for 72 hours after application. So your detailer would probably have to hold the car for several days (if they have the space). Unless it was done at your home with a garage but then you may pay a premium for mobile service

Yeah I asked my detailer for that before I had it done - he has a lgauge. It went from 102 to 134-139. He uses a heat gun to dry and sometimes gets 2 or 3 microns from a coat.

Looks great! My car is white, so glossy effect isn't very pronounced. Blue and black would be stunning for this. One thing is it seems to be even better at looking great without a wash though somehow (it was already great that way being white, but now even more so). My tint guy was sick, so we skipped doing the windows. Once tint is on, and windows are done, ill post piccys.

Hydrophobic effect is sensational too. Looks funny when I give it a high pressure hose - water turns into tiny ball-bearings that zip around the car.

You have no idea how GREAT it feels to be able to head to a shopping centre knowing that some shopping trolly has about 35 microns of super hard shit to get through before it touches my baby. I know its silly, but I finally feel safe parking it somewhere!

It's lifetime with annual service.

If you miss the annual service, it's 3 years from the last service.

Great thing is it does your windows too! And you're wheels of course. Mitch threw in interior for me as well

Absolutely nothing. It's the real deal and now everyone is trying to jump on their coat tails I'd say. Good luck to them because they're gonna need it. Optimum has set the bar so high that it's going to take something monumental to attract any attention.
