For the time I ride my bike, I am at peace.

I'm just jelly. Landlord won't let me keep a bike on the property and every year I go without buying one I get more scared of them. I've always considered them the purest expression of speed, but just impractical where I live due to the heavy congestion and idiot cages.

I've got black shorty ASV levers on my Triumph and i love them. Do you want to just do the pegs or the entire rearset? I went with renthal for both sprockets and a DID ERV3 chain. I didn't change the teeth but it was a decrease in rotational mass.

A tune would be good if youre planning on doing a full exhaust system or filter, but you should be okay with just the slip on. I'd avoid the valves unless you were going to do a complete engine rebuild(cams, head, ect) just because its not going to be worth the headache of opening up the engine.

Grats on the bike, the late CBRs are beauts, but unfortunately they're too tall for short people like me. From personal experience and stories I've heard i will never own a black bike though, at least not without LEDs. Call it superstition.

Thanks for the ideas. I went with the PSR Click N Roll levers (gold) so now I'm just waiting for them in the mail. And ya I want to do both rider and passenger pegs in gold. I feel like thats a cheap mod I could do that would bring a lot of color to the bike. I also want to replace that rim tape with yellow/gold as well. I'm going to take your advice and stay away from the valves from now. Just had it inspected at the local Honda shop and they said it was in beautiful condition. Just changed my oil yesterday.

It's a nice bike dude. I have a 2007 600rr.

Id hate to be the first to tell you, but looking at the pics of yours tells me it has been laid down before. That was a Tribal but the graphics on the side fairings are missing; telling me that the side fairings have either been repaired or replaced. Also you are missing both bar-ends - another sign the bike has been down.

You are correct, The bike was the tribal edition with the silver ghost flames on the sides of the bike. It was laid down, at which point the dealership resurfaced and re painted the sides of the farings. Honestly though I kind of like it without the flames and just that gloss black look. I'm not claiming the bike is in OEM condition because its not, but keep in mind this is my first bike and for the price I got it for, I'm EXTREMELY happy with it. A few things that need to be fixed up but nothing major.
